World take a breath after Russia announced a Vaccine For COVID-19, But quite un satisfactory with the funds raised, Said WHO

In the present scenario, the world is suffering from global pandemic COVID-19. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.  Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illnesses.

Russia is the first nation to finish human trials for coronavirus. As Elena Smolyarchuk, the chief researcher and the head of Center for Clinical Research on Medications at Sechenov University said to reporters on Sunday that the Vaccine has tested on the humans was successful and they have been discharged soon i.e., 15 July 2020.

There was no particular information that when this was going into mass production. Russia had allowed clinical trials of two forms of a potential Covid-19 vaccine developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology on June 18. The first was in the form of a solution for intramuscular administration, was carried out at the Burdenko Military Hospital.

Another vaccine, in the form of a powder for the preparation of a solution for intramuscular administration, was carried out at Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. The first stage of research on Vaccine involves 18 volunteers and the second group involves 20 volunteers. After vaccination, all volunteers were expected to remain in isolation in a hospital for 28 days. the results showed that they are developing immunity against COVID-19.

On 11July 2020, WHo said they need $100 billion for its program that seeks to accelerate the development and manufacture of a novel Coronavirus vaccine and ensure that it is equitably accessible to everyone. And, it has indicated, that possibly not even ten percent of that amount has so far been realized. WHO has invited countries to join this initiative and voluntarily contribute funds to support the rapid development of vaccines, scale-up of manufacturing capacities and strengthening of the delivery mechanisms, and the funds raised was quite unsatisfactory. They said "This sounds like a lot of money, and it is. But it is small in comparison to the 10 trillion dollars that have already been invested by G20 countries in fiscal stimulus to deal with the consequences of the pandemic so far,"

The WHO aims to ensure the distribution of at least 2 billion doses of vaccines through the COVAX programme, mainly in the middle and low-income countries, by the end of 2021. Another Chinese vaccine enters phase 3. this vaccine has already been recommended for Chinese military, even before the results of phase-2 trials were out.
